Here's mine for now: Took a little while to line this one up, approaching the golden hour up on the coastal terrace oak savannah.

My gf in Central Park in Nov. shot in miniature mode

Rachel @ in Central Park in Nov
  • Love those deciduous trees in the fall, what a stark contrast to the NYC skyscrapers.

Seems like the miniature mode is useful in a lot of ways that don't really accentuate a miniature effect. Here it just gives the image a really dreamy, painterly, "loving" kinda look. Nice shot, Sami!

    Autumn afternoon light
    Autumn afternoon
Shot next to a parking lot at the shopping mall. A reminder to LOOK UP more. :)
  • Really great capture. Such defined branch structure with the backlighting.

Reminds me of one of the first shots I took with my S95, late in the day in this weird little strip of forest below the golf course. The late sun colors came out so bright and painterly, just like I saw them. Sky overexposed, though, wish I had known of HDR.

    Golf Course?

  • Great stuff @LowLightSue, I really like the vignette you did on the B&W one.

For future reference: In Flickr, click "Share this" above the photos, then "Grab the HTML". Cut and paste from there.
  • ahh thank you I 'grabbed the link' instead! I like the B&W pic the best.

    Red and blue
  • Very cool shot, great abstraction.

Thought this was MUNI in San Francisco at first, but on second look it's way too clean. :) I see you're in Vienna?

I was in Zürich and that's a trolleybus - no tram. There I was waiting for a bus at the station with -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit) and then this station with a huge red sign on the other side and the nice blue and white bus. click. Keeps me warm whenever I look at it.
@syf: I will try to take some pictures of trams in Vienna after Christmas...
  • lighted up a candle, turned off the lights and grabbed the s95...no idea why I did that...

  • @solarshooter that shot was a beauty!
  • wow indeed, whereabouts was it taken please? anyone else on here from the UK?
  • Taken in the hills east of the San Francisco bay of California.

This one too, in another canyon, yesterday:

  • Wow! Love all these photos! The candle, the shopping center, the clouds and sky and the lady bugs! You all inspire me!! I'll see if I can come up with something to post.
  • wow at the ladybirds! I can never hope to compete living in the United Kingdom in the Winter!

    I REALLY like your picture!

My wife and I went to the sunken cemetery in Camiguin. A wonderful place to spend your vacation

    Photobucket

Lying 20 feet underwater in Barrio Bonbon, Catarman lies the sunken cemetery, the remains of a volcanic eruption. Coral encrusted tombstones can still be explored by snorkellers and scuba divers. A huge cross was installed in 1982 to mark the community cemetery which sunk during the 1871 volcanic eruption.

@all: Amazing pictures. Thank you for sharing
  • Indeed, some great stuff. Love the airport lighting and the rustic post-processing especially.

@jimbojetset: I'm surprised you were able to resist snapping a shot on auto first thing, ha.

Myself, I'd post something, but my camera isn't connecting to my Macbook right now... Eh, I'll figure that out tomorrow. Sleepy
  • I was directly facing the sun in this picture and wouldn't usually take a photo but there was something lurking in the back of my mind that I read somewhere that if you did this with the S95 you would get a good outcome - so I did it.. and noticed that as I looked at the shot on the screen the AUTO sign had turned to a picture of the sun..

I love the effect, I just enhanced the picture once on my Mac.

  • Gold star
Taken while I was out today.
  • Squeaky clean
Dripped water from a spoon today (haven't taken shots of water droplets since 2 years ago). :)
The only thing I did to the image was to crop it.
