HDR using exposure bracketing

Here are some old fashioned exposure bracketed HDR images that I took using S95. I didn't try the built-in HDR functionality yet though.

Here are some more HDR shots created with 7 (yes, seven) exposure bracketed images using CHDK firmware. I was amazed by the details and dynamic range that the 7 shot HDR allowed me to catch - e.g. in the first shot one can see the stars in the sky and a bright street light at their respective exposures.

Pretty good results, questions: Which CHDK script did you use it? Which was the EV interval you used it?

Beautiful shots. Please elaborate on the script, EV value and software used for these shots? We would like to have a small tutorial on this. Did you use any filter for shots of the river?

I used the method described by martyspk. It only takes a few seconds to setup and no script is necessary for this either. I think I used +-1 stop for the bracketed values. S95 appears to have enough dynamic range that anything smaller will be useless. Some people recommend +-2 stops as well but with more than 3 shots the +4 and -4 shots will likely be too far in dynamic range to be useful.

No filter was used for the river shots but a tripod was used for both shootings.
