WB keeps changing when taking pic of a book page

    I tried to take a macro picture of a book page and I got this weird behavior from the camera: color temperature keeps changing while I keep the button half-pressed. Is this normal?

    I think this phenomena is more (or less) noticeable depending on the angle at which the camera is facing the page.

    Also, the color temperature of the final pic is independent of when I press the button...

    I assume you have the S965 set to Auto WB, and as you move the camera it's seeing different mixes of colours and only makes a decision when you click the shutter.

    What happens if you fix the WB?

    Just made an experiment.

    First is in M mode with Custom WB.

    Second in Auto of the same piece of glossy white photo paper.
