Yeah, that's what I wanted... to understand the S95 inside out... so got the book. The original manual is too simple...and doesn't explain little tricks the camera can do.
I've got it and have devoured it. It's a great way in to the capabilities and there are very few gaps in the coverage. It does not pretend to be not a creative guide, which it is not. I wouldn't be without it, along with the cheat sheet - http://www.camerabooks.com/search.aspx?keyword=s95+cheat+sheet
I recently purchased 'Photographer's Guide to the Canon PowerShot S95' by Alexander S. White - and it's finally got me understanding and exploring off the Auto setting. The book is simply fantastic - can't recommend it highly enough. Its tone is friendly and accessible as well. I found that, from Australia, it was cheaper to get it from http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/ - delivery was fast as well.
Is this book from alexander white better for s95 users than this one here from byran peterson that's so highly recommended for beginners on Amazon?I'm not sure which one to get...
